About me
David Mather is a Software Engineer and Lead Product Owner at Ericsson, where they specialize in designing and developing cutting-edge telecommunications software solutions. He has a master’s degree in cybersecurity, a bachelor’s degree in computer science and several years of experience in the cybersecurity industry from working as a security master in Ericsson to working on endpoint security solutions with McAfee. He is a passionate advocate for open-source technologies and has a secondary role as a Red Hat TAM contact where he regularly seeks solutions to issues found in open source software used by Verizon and AT&T.
At Ericsson, David plays a pivotal role in driving innovation through collaborative development and pair programming, working closely with global teams to build scalable and secure solutions that power some of the world's most advanced communication networks. His expertise spans across a range of technologies, including Kubernetes, microservices, and DevOps tools, as well as a deep understanding of software architecture and design patterns.
David is attending this conference to share insights on python secure coding and to connect with like-minded developers and contributors. When not coding, David enjoys mentoring junior engineers, contributing to community meetups, and exploring new trends in cloud computing and artificial intelligence.
